Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Retainly(the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Retainly is an AI-assisted exam-preparation tool. You provide study material (notes or document text) and the Service surfaces high-yield concepts and generates flashcards and practice questions to help you study. The Service is for study and exam preparation only.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service for academic dishonesty or cheating, including obtaining answers during an exam or assessment, or any use that violates your institution's rules.
  • Do not submit material you do not have the right to use.
  • Do not misuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

You are responsible for complying with the academic-integrity policies of your school, course, or examining body. Retainly is a study aid, not a source of real exam answers.

Your content

You keep all rights to the material you submit. You grant Retainly a limited license to process that material solely to provide the Service to you (including sending it to our AI providers to generate your study set).

Our intellectual property

The Service — including the Retainly name, design, and software — is owned by us and protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

AI output — no guarantee of accuracy

Study sets are generated by AI and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. They are not a substitute for your own studying or your source material, and we do not guarantee any particular grade, score, or exam outcome. Always verify important content against trusted sources.

Pricing

The core Service is currently provided free of charge. Any "Pro" or paid features described in the Service are forthcoming; you will not be charged unless and until you explicitly sign up for a paid plan under terms presented at that time.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Retainly will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, including for misuse or violation of these Terms.

Changes

We may update these Terms or the Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
