This Privacy Policy explains how Retainly ("Retainly", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use retainly.draftlabs.organd our exam-prep service (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Email address — when you submit it to unlock your full study set.
- Study material you provide — the notes, text, or document text you paste or upload so we can generate your study set.
- Usage data — pages viewed, actions taken, and basic device/browser information, collected through product analytics (see our Cookie Notice).
How we use your information
- To provide the Service — generating your high-yield concepts, flashcards, and quiz.
- To deliver your study set and send you related updates about Retainly.
- To understand usage and improve the product.
- To protect the Service against abuse and to comply with legal obligations.
AI processing of your material
To generate your study set, the material you submit is sent to third-party AI providers (currently MiniMax and Google Gemini) and processed solely to produce your results. We do not store the raw study material you paste or upload in a personal profile after your set is generated. AI providers process the content under their own terms; we send only what is needed to generate your set.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, under appropriate safeguards:
- Supabase — stores your email (our lead/account store).
- PostHog — product analytics.
- MiniMax / Google (Gemini) — AI generation of your study set.
- Vercel — application hosting.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
Data retention
We keep your email until you ask us to delete it or it is no longer needed. Study material is processed transiently to generate your set and is not retained by us as part of a profile. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's settings.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps for it to remain protected in line with applicable law, including Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the Singapore PDPA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To make a request, email support@draftlabs.org.
Children
Retainly is a study tool intended for students. It is not directed to children under 13. If you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, please use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
